An introduction to Call Forwarding – What is it?
Call Forwarding is also known as call diversion and call divert. These are services that allow you to send calls from a number supplied by us to a different phone number. You can also divert calls to a group of phone numbers.
For example, we can supply you with a London 0207 phone number. You can receive calls to a mobile or landline number (or group of numbers) or blend of numbers worldwide.
Call Forwarding is useful when you or your colleagues have no stable internet access, and are constantly on the move. This is because calls can be diverted directly to a mobile phone.
Our customers choose Call Forwarding because it is a robust and reliable service that requires minimal technology. All of our numbers are supplied by OFCOM in the UK and other recognised non-UK regulatory authorities.
Who uses Call Forwarding?
The vast majority of businesses that use Call Forwarding have historically been tradesmen and people who work on the move. Call Forwarding has evolved over the past 20 years and now allows more than one person to be called from a single number.
This is particularly useful for businesses who offer an out of hours or emergency call-out service because we can now alert the people receiving the calls to the actual nature of the call.
Using our Call Whisper feature you can also differentiate between personal and business calls when receiving calls to the same handset. Voice menus are extremely useful in sending calls to specific individuals and departments within your organisation.
Available Plans
We can supply Call Forwarding services on all of our phone number ranges, and have a set of plans to suit most budgets and call volumes.
- Pay as you go call forwarding – where you pay to receive every incoming call that you answer on a landline or mobile. Call diversion rates depend on the destination phone number. Rates are as low as 1p per minute plus VAT to divert to a UK Landline and 7.5p per minute plus VAT to receive calls to a standard UK Mobile. Upgradeable to UK Unlimited and with a month by month contract so that you are not tied in.
- Low User – includes a blend of 100 UK landline and UK mobile minutes. You can upgrade to Medium and High User services, with 24 month contract.
- Medium User – Includes a blend of 1000 UK landline and UK mobile minutes. You can upgrade/downgrade to Medium and High User services, with 24 month contract.
- High User – includes a blend of 3000 UK landline and UK mobile minutes. You can downgrade to Medium and High user services, with 24 month contract.
- UK Unlimited call forwarding – includes unlimited minutes (subject to fair use) to UK Landlines and Standard UK Mobiles. It is upgradeable/downgradeable to Pay as you go and EU Unlimited services and with a month by month contract
- EU Unlimited call forwarding – includes unlimited minutes (subject to fair use) to UK and EU landlines and standard UK and EU mobiles. It is downgradeable to Pay as you go and UK Unlimited services and with a month by month contract.
All the services listed above have similar features included and have specific upgrade/downgrade paths and contract lengths.
