How many users can use Hosted VoIP Services?
VoIP is infinitely scalable so that you can operate with just a single user and ramp up to 100s of users.
Can you tell me what I need in order to use a VoIP device on hosted VoIP?
Firstly, you will need a stable internet connection (4G and 5G, wired or WiFi)
To use a VoIP handset with our VoIP services it is necessary to have a stable internet connection and each device uses approximately 150kb of upload/download bandwidth. For larger businesses, to maintain stability it is wise to plan ahead to ensure that your internet connection is robust enough to cope with the demands of all your data and voice requirements throughout your premises.
Connection Types
- 4G and 5G Data – You can use an app directly on your smartphone connected to 4G or WiFi
- 4G and 5G Router with Data – connect VoIP handsets, Apps for your PC Mac or cordless VoIP base stations and connect to a 4G/5G Router using LAN cables or use apps on your smartphone or PC/Mac via WiFi
- Broadband/Fibre/Gigabit Internet Service with WiFi Router – connect VoIP handsets and apps for your PC Mac or Cordless VoIP Base Stations to a 4G/5G Router using LAN Cables or use apps on your smartphone or PC/Mac via WiFi
What is an example of a typical installation?
Users can have 3 instances of their extension active at any given time, this could be utilised in any of the following permutations:
- 1 x app on smartphone, 1 x app on desktop and 1 x VoIP handset
- 2 x apps on desktop and 1 x app on smartphone
- 1 x app on smartphone and 2 x VoIP handsets
- 2 x VoIP handsets and 1 x app on desktop
- 3 x VoIP handsets (e.g. home, office and warehouse)
- Divert to multiple landlines and mobiles anywhere in the world.
A user can be located anywhere in the world and can use their own internet services to connect to the network. Your users can call each other free of charge extension to extension and listen in or join each others calls. Users can also hold, pickup or transfer calls and can change which call routes are active.
